This workshop combines singing, stories, and movement in community. All activities are led - you can come along for the ride, and there are opportunities to break free and express yourself. Come join the circle - all levels welcome.
Your body is an instrument too. This session explores rhythm through clapping, stomping, patting, and playful body-based grooves. No vocal cords required, although some spontaneous singing might happen.
Great for those who love drumming but don’t have a drum, or anyone who's ever tapped their foot to a beat and wondered what else their body could do. All levels, all bodies, all rhythms welcome.
To mark two years of circle singing in Chiang Mai, I’ll be sharing some videos about vocal improv communities around the world. Included will be demos by Bobby McFerrin, and Rhiannon's Vocal River — a beautiful window into the roots of the practice that's shaped so much of what we do together.
Followed by a Q&A and conversation. Come curious, come with questions, come just to watch and listen.
