Retreat: Music & Myth This March
I’m so pleased to be partnering with yoga instructor Imogen North to add a musical element to her family retreat, Music & Myth This March. This weekend retreat will delve into musical play, story telling and yoga for all ages. Through yoga, movement and music we will explore stories, uncover meaning of ancient myths, and learn how they carry reflections of our own inner life and journey. We will be leading musical play, meditation, contemplation, soulful vinyasa, yin and deep relaxation.

Free Rhythm Workshop at Gitameit
Calling all percussionists and rhythm enthusiasts in Yangon! I'll be leading a workshop on Africa polyrhythms through song and movement.
Polyrhythms form the foundation of rock and roll, where the intersection of different beats and rhythms forms a groove that’s highly danceable. This is a great way to add new "vocabulary" to your songwriting or music playing.
Previous music, percussion or rhythm experience helpful.
Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m. at Gitameit Music School, Yangon.

SonicBloom at TEDx Yangon
TEDx Yangon is doing something new this year - interspersing workshops between talks. Workshops will be offered once in the morning, and again in the afternoon, allowing attendees two opportunities to interact and learn.
I’ll be offering a one-hour workshop on The Power of Voice: Vocal Freedom Techniques. Using techniques known to singers, learn to fully activate your unique vocal superpower to communicate with clarity and impact, and improve health and wellbeing. We'll look at internal aspects of voice (grounding, breath and mindfulness), as well as external (pitch, tempo and dynamics) to expand your options for communication and self-care. No previous vocal experience necessary - everyone is welcome.
